Our certified network engineers received a service request for Starlink and WiFi network installation in Paradise Valley, AZ. To process the service request, the following steps were carried out:
An initial offsite assessment was carried out to analyze the property’s structural layout and environmental conditions using satellite imagery and submitted onsite photographs. The customer wanted WiFi network expansion for the entire house including the outdoor patio area. A site survey was carried out to determine the following:
🔹Starlink Dish Placement: Find the best spot for the Starlink dish with a clear view of the sky. Confirm the mounting type (roof, wall, or pole).
🔹Cable Pathway: Check possible routes for the Starlink cable to the equipment room or desired location. Note distances, entry points, and if any conduit needed.
🔹Network Infrastructure Review: Identify and document the current MDF setup (switches, patch panels, cabling layout). Evaluate available ports and capacity for adding Starlink or new access points.
🔹Wi-Fi Coverage Evaluation: Perform a signal strength test throughout the home and outdoor areas. Identify potential dead zones and recommend optimal placement for additional access points to extend Wi-Fi to the patio area.
After the site survey, an installation plan was sent to the customer for approval. Once the proposal was approved, we coordinated the procurement of all required materials and scheduled the installation with our certified WiFi network installers in Paradise Valley, AZ.
Our certified WiFi installers arrived onsite as scheduled to perform the following scope of work:
🔹 Install and align the Starlink dish using a Under Eave mount to ensure clear line of sight and optimal signal strength.
🔹 Run neatly the Starlink and Cat6 cables routing through the attic or walls. Label and test all cable runs to confirm proper connectivity.
🔹 Mount and configure two (2) Wi-Fi Access Points (1indoor and 1outdoor) extending wireless coverage and performance.
🔹 Verify full functionality of the Starlink system and both Access Points.
🔹 Conduct a final walkthrough with the client to review the installation and confirm satisfaction

The Starlink cable was carefully routed from the dish through the attic, with a clean wall entry point created to bring the cable indoors. It was then connected to the Gen 3 WiFi router, and the system was powered on. Once powered up, the Starlink system was activated and configured. A unique WiFi SSID and secure password were set up to provide reliable and protected wireless network access.

To provide reliable WiFi coverage throughout the home and the outdoor patio, a 4-Port Gigabit PoE Switch was installed. The switch was connected to the Gen 3 router using a Gigabit Ethernet connection, providing both network connectivity and Power over Ethernet (PoE) to the wireless access points.

Cat6 Ethernet cables were professionally routed from the PoE switch to the designated locations for the two wireless access points. One access point was strategically installed inside the home to provide strong wireless coverage across the main living areas, while the second access point was mounted to extend seamless WiFi coverage to the outdoor patio and surrounding exterior spaces. Once installed, both access points were adopted into the network, updated with the latest firmware, and configured with the same SSID and security settings as the primary Starlink network.
After completing the installation, our team performed a Starlink alignment test using the Starlink app to ensure the dish was properly oriented. As shown in the image, the system confirmed that the Starlink dish was precisely aligned and pointed in the correct direction. This step is essential to achieving a clear line of sight to the satellite network for consistent connectivity and maximum signal strength.

The installation concluded with testing of the wired and wireless network. Internet connectivity, PoE functionality, WiFi signal strength, roaming performance and overall network coverage were verified throughout the home and outdoor patio. Final speed tests confirmed reliable connectivity, providing fast, stable, and uninterrupted wireless internet access across the entire property.

Speed Test in AP 1 - Interior Space Living Area

Speed Test in AP 2 - Exterior Space Patio Area
Note: Starlink may require up to 12 hours to fully optimize its connection. During this initial period, temporary speed fluctuations or brief dropouts may occur. However, once the system stabilizes, it delivers a reliable and high-speed internet connection.
