Our certified network engineers received a service request for Starlink and WiFi installation in Scottsdale, AZ. To process the service request, the following steps were carried out:
1. Pre-Installation Assessment and Planning
An initial offsite assessment was conducted to evaluate the property’s structural layout and environmental conditions using satellite imagery and customer-provided onsite photographs. The customer’s requirements were reviewed to identify the optimal location for dish and WiFi mesh installation, suitable mounting hardware, cable routing path and required installation materials.
After the offsite assessment, an installation plan was sent to the customer for approval. Once the proposal was approved, our team coordinated the procurement of all required materials and scheduled the installation with our certified WiFi installers in Scottsdale, AZ.
2. Starlink and WiFi Network Installation in Scottsdale, AZ
Our certified WiFi installers arrived onsite as scheduled to perform the following scope of work:
🔹 Install the Starlink Dish on the flat roof on the second floor using a non-penetrating roof mount stabilized with cinder blocks.
🔹 Route proprietary Starlink cable from the dish to indoor Starlink WiFi Mesh Router location, ensuring secure and insulated (silicon sealant/fire caulk) the outdoor/indoor cable pass-through.
🔹 Mount the Gen 3 router to the customer preferred location at the garage. Setup the Gen 3 router into bypass mode. Connect the eero WiFi mesh router with Starlink. Install firmware updates, configure the WiFi network name (SSID) and password for secure wireless access.
Install additional eero nodes in the basement office, living room, and movie room to provide reliable WiFi coverage throughout the designated areas.
After completing the installation, our team performed a Starlink alignment test using the Starlink app to ensure the dish was properly oriented. As shown in the image, the system confirmed that the Starlink dish was precisely aligned and pointed in the correct direction. This step is essential to achieving a clear line of sight to the satellite network for consistent connectivity and maximum signal strength.
Verify connectivity between the Starlink system and the eero WiFi mesh network through the eero App. Confirm that the eero network is online, the garage gateway eero is properly connected to the Starlink internet connection, and the living room, movie room and basement office eero nodes were connected to the mesh network. Review the eero App status indicators to confirm that the mesh nodes are communicating properly and providing active WiFi coverage throughout the designated areas.
Performed several speed tests to confirm connectivity performance after the installation.
Note: Starlink may require up to 12 hours to fully optimize its connection. During this initial period, temporary speed fluctuations or brief dropouts may occur. However, once the system stabilizes, it delivers a reliable and high-speed internet connection.
