Our certified network engineers received a service request for Starlink and WiFi network installation in Mesa, AZ. To process the service request, the following steps were carried out:
An initial offsite assessment was carried out to analyze the property’s structural layout and environmental conditions using satellite imagery and submitted onsite photographs. The customer wanted WiFi network expansion for the entire house including the outdoor garage and to the barn. A site survey was carried out to determine the following:
🔹 Identify the optimal location for the Starlink dish, providing a clear, obstruction-free view of the sky to maximize signal strength, reliability, and performance.
🔹 Evaluate suitable mounting options, including roof, wall, fascia, or ground mounts, based on structural integrity, accessibility, and optimal satellite visibility.
🔹 Determine the most efficient and least invasive cable routing path, including the ideal entry point into the home, while maintaining proper weather sealing and protection from the elements.
🔹 Estimate the total cable length required and identify any need for cable management solutions or additional materials.
🔹 Assess Wi-Fi coverage throughout the main house, identifying weak signal areas and potential interference sources.
🔹 Measure the distance between the main house, garage and barn to evaluate signal reach and inetwork nfrastructure requirements.
🔹 Evaluate connectivity options for the garage and the building to the east (barn), including the need for a dedicated access point, mesh system, or Wi-Fi extender based on distance, layout, and usage requirement..
🔹 Identify optimal placement for additional networking equipment such as routers, switches, or access points to ensure balanced coverage and performance.
After the site survey, an installation plan was sent to the customer for approval. Once the proposal was approved, we coordinated the procurement of all required materials and schedule the installation with our certified WiFi installers in Mesa, AZ.
Our certified WiFi installers arrived onsite as scheduled to perform the following scope of work:
🔹 Install two (2) Starlink Standard Dishes: One (1) dish on the main house roof using a non-penetrating ridgeline roof mount. One (1) dish on the stable located north of the main house using a standard wall mount.
🔹 Run and secure all Starlink cabling following the straightforward cable route approved by the client during the site survey.
🔹 Activate and configure both Starlink systems, including the setup of the desired SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password.
🔹 Set up a Wi-Fi mesh network for the main house using two (2) Starlink routers to provide coverage throughout the main house and the garage located west of the main house.
🔹 Perform system testing and verification to ensure both Starlink systems are online, operating properly, and providing the expected connectivity and Wi-Fi coverage.
The Starlink dish was securely mounted on the main house roof using a standard wall mount. The mount was firmly fastened to the structure to provide long-term stability while positioning the dish for optimal satellite visibility and consistent internet connectivity.
A second Starlink dish was securely mounted on the barn roof using a non-penetrating ridgeline roof mount. The mount was stabilized with cinder blocks to provide a strong and durable installation without roof penetrations, while positioning the dish for maximum sky visibility and dependable Starlink performance.
The Starlink cable was professionally routed from the dish to the indoor location of the Gen 3 router in the main house. A second Gen 3 router was configured in the garage as part of a WiFi mesh system, providing expanded coverage, stronger signal strength, and reliable connectivity across both buildings.
A Gen 3 router for the barn was activated and configured to provide WiFi coverage to the barn.
The customer was given a walkthrough on how to manage the Starlink internet using Starlink App.
After completing the Starlink equipment installation, our team performed a Starlink alignment test using the Starlink app to ensure the dish was properly oriented. As shown in the image, the system confirmed that the Starlink dish was precisely aligned and pointed in the correct direction. This step is essential to achieving a clear line of sight to the satellite network for consistent connectivity and maximum signal strength.
The installation concluded with Starlink speed tests from the WiFi network. across the main house and barn.
Starlink may require up to 12 hours to fully optimize its connection. During this initial period, temporary speed fluctuations or brief dropouts may occur. However, once the system stabilizes, it delivers a reliable and high-speed internet connection.
