Our certified network engineers received a service request for Starlink and wireless network installation in Poplar Bluff, MO. To process the service request, the following steps were carried out:
An initial offsite assessment was carried out to capture the customer’s requirements for the Starlink installation. By leveraging satellite imagery and onsite photos provided by the customer, our team able to determine the appropriate mounting solution, cable routing plan, required tools and materials, and the manpower needed to successfully complete the installation.
Following the assessment, our team developed an installation plan and sent over to the customer for review and approval. Once approved and the necessary equipment was onsite, the installation schedule was coordinated with Starlink installers in Poplar Bluff, MO.
Our certified Starlink installers arrived onsite and performed a Starlink obstructions test. It scans the area for potential signal blockages caused by trees, buildings, or other structures. This step confirms the optimal dish location with a clear line of sight to the satellites, guaranteeing reliable connectivity.
Our team mounted the Starlink dish at roof using a pipe adapter and a non-penetrating roof mount weighted with cinder blocks.
The Starlink cable was routed from roof to the exterior wall of the roofline secured with cable clips. The cable was then passed through a drilled wall penetration, sealed with weatherproof sealant. Inside the house, the cable was routed to the designated indoor location of the Gen3 WiFi mesh router. The router was connected, powered on and initialized through the Starlink network. It was then configured with a unique SSID and secure password to establish a personalized and protected WiFi connection.
Then, the customer was provided with a walkthrough on how to manage the Starlink internet through Starlink app.
Following the Starlink equipment installation, a Starlink alignment test was conducted to fine-tune the positioning of the dish towards the satellite network. This test is critical for maintaining strong and uinterrupted signal.
Then, the Starlink speed tests were done after installation to verify the Starlink internet performance through the metrics of download speed, upload speed and latency.
