Our certified network engineers received a service request for Starlink and wireless network installation in Pella, IA. To process the service request, the following steps were carried out:
An initial offsite assessment was carried out to analyze the site conditions, including property structure, roof type, potential cable routing paths and possible obstructions that may impact Starlink connectivity. Then the Starlink cable was routed from the dish along the exterior wall, securing it neatly to maintain a clean installation. To bring the cable indoors, they utilized a dedicated entry point fitted with a protective grommet and sealed it with weatherproof material, ensuring long-term protection against moisture, water intrusion and environmental wear.
Once inside, the cable was routed to the designated location of the Gen3 WiFi mesh router, where it was plugged. The router was powered, activated the Starlink system and configured the user’s WiFi settings.The SSID and password were configured with the customer for a secure and personalized network.
After confirming successful connectivity, the customer was provided with walkthrough on how to manage the Starlink internet through Starlink app.
After completing the Starlink installation, a Starlink alignment test was conducted to confirm the precise dish positioning to the satellite network .
Then, the Starlink speed tests were done twenty minutes after installation to verify the Starlink internet performance through the metrics of download speed, upload speed and latency. It is important to note that it takes upto 12 hours to achieve optimal speeds.
Starlink connection is performing excellently. Both speed tests show high-bandwidth with low latency. These results confirm that your setup is capable of handling demanding workloads like multiple 4K streams, cloud-based applications and gaming simultaneously.
