An initial offsite assessment was carried out to capture the customer’s requirements for the Starlink installation. Due to the complexity of the service request, a site survey visit was carried out to:
🔹Identify the best location for the Starlink dish with a clear view of the sky. Confirm the appropriate mounting type (roof, wall, or pole).
🔹Assess possible routes for the Starlink cable to reach the server room or desired location. Determine the best entry point into the building and where the cable will terminate inside, reusing existing low-voltage pathways when possible. Note distances, entry points (attic, basement, or underground), and any required conduit.
🔹Estimates of cable lengths and required materials (conduits, mounts, fasteners, etc.).

After the site survey, the installation plan was communicated to the customer for approval. Once approved, the installation materials were procured and the installation schedule was coordinated with our certified Starlink installers in Kennesaw, GA.
Our certified Starlink installers and engineers arrived onsite to perform the following scope of work:
🔹Install a non-penetrating roof mount (sled type) with an EPDM rubber mat underneath to protect the roof surface. Secure the mount with 8 cinder blocks to provide stability and support for the Starlink Standard Gen3 dish. Position the mount directly above the IT room for efficient cable routing.
🔹Route the 45M Starlink 4X cable from the roof down to the Data Room. Use the existing sidewall opening on the exterior for cable entry where possible to avoid additional penetrations.
🔹Final configuration and integration will be handled by the client’s IT team.
Following the Starlink equipment installation, a Starlink alignment test was conducted to fine-tune the positioning of the dish towards the satellite network. This test is critical for maintaining strong and uinterrupted signal.
Then, the Starlink speed tests were done after installation to verify the Starlink internet performance through the metrics of download speed, upload speed and latency.
It is important to note that optimal performance may take up to 12 hours to be fully achieved.
