Following the Starlink troubleshooting session, the customer is advised to submit a ticket to Starlink Support outlining the following:
🔹A lightning strike had damaged their existing Starlink dish and Gen 3 router.
🔹A new Standard Kit was purchased from an authorized reseller and is intended for activation under their current Starlink account.
🔹A request to deactivate the damaged dish to prevent multiple active service plans under the same account.
The new Starlink Standard Kit arrived onsite and the team was scheduled to perform the following scope of work
🔹Replace the Starlink Standard dish with the existing Standard Wall Mount
🔹 Reusing the existing cable path
🔹 Replace, activate & configure the Starlink Gen3 WiFi mesh router. Add surge protector.
🔹Test and document the installations with photos.
The dish was securely mounted in the existing pivot mount verified the location with an Obstructions test.
They utilized the existing cable path toward the location of the Gen3 WiFi Mesh Router. Using the Starlink App, activated the system and customized the WiFi by setting up the customer’s preferred network name (SSID) and password, ensuring a seamless connection.
After the Starlink equipment installation, an Alignment Test was dome to ensure the dish was in the best possible position for continuous satellite connectivity. The process included carefully assessing the dish’s position, considering the elevation angle, azimuth direction, and potential obstructions (e.g., trees, buildings, or other structures).
Then, a Starlink speed test was performed to evaluate the system’s internet performance.
Note that the network can take up to 12 hours to fully optimize its connection with the satellite network.
