Our certified network engineers received a service request for Starlink and wireless network installation in Bloomfield, NM. To process the service request, the following steps were carried out:
To assess the feasibility of the Starlink installation, an initial offsite assessment was performed using satellite imagery and client-provided onsite photos. This allowed us to identify potential mounting locations, detect any obstructions and plan the optimal cable pathway. This crucial step also helped determine the necessary materials, equipment and manpower required for the onsite installation.
After the assessment, an installation plan was developed and sent over to the customer for approval. Once approved, the installation schedule was coordinated with our certified Starlink installers in Bloomfield, NM.
To kick-off the Starlink installation process, the Starlink installers performed Starlink obstructions test in the preferred installation point. The test uses your phone’s camera and augmented reality (AR) to scan the sky from any obstructions such as trees and nearby structures. Based on the result, the "Good experience" rating was achieved on the preferred installation point that is northside of the house.

The Starlink dish was securely installed using an adjustable/extendable wall mount and fastened with four #8 x 3-inch wood screws.

The Starlink cable was routed to the home through a wall penetration sealed with weather-proof sealant for ingress protection. Cable was fastened with clips at key points to prevent sagging or movement.

The Starlink cable was then connected to the indoor location of the Gen3 router. Mounted the Gen3 router and power adapter to the preferred location of the customer. Powered up, activated and then configured the Gen3 router with the customer's preferred SSID and password using Starlink app. The customer was given a walkthrough on how to use Starlink App.

After Starlink equipment setup, a Stalink alignment test was performed to ensure that Starlink dish is properly positioned or aligned to achieve optimal connectivity with Starlink satellite constellation. Based on the test shown in the image below, the Starlink dish us properly aligned.

To check the performance of the Starlink connectivity, speed test was performed. This test helps determine if your connection is functioning at optimal levels and is crucial for troubleshooting or verifying quality during and after installation. It measures the download speed, upload speed, latency (ping).

This test demonstrates Starlink performing at its optimal capacity, likely during off-peak hours with ideal satellite positioning and minimal network congestion. These speeds would satisfy even the most demanding residential internet users.
🔹Download Speed: 444 Mbps - Outstanding performance, well above typical broadband speeds
🔹Upload Speed: 36 Mbps - Excellent upload capability for video conferencing, cloud backup, and content creation
🔹Latency: 36ms - Very good ping time for satellite internet, suitable for real-time applications
