Project Overview
Our team received a service request for a security camera installation in Mauldin, SC. To ensure a successful deployment, a site survey was conducted by our professional installer with the following objectives:
🔹Assess coverage requirements: Confirm the desired number of cameras and discuss priority monitoring areas with the onsite point of contact (POC).
🔹Identify mounting locations: Determine optimal camera placement in alignment with property layout, security needs, and client preferences.
🔹Evaluate cabling infrastructure: Plan structured cabling paths for new Cat6 Ethernet runs, including routing through attic spaces, crawlspaces, or wall penetrations.
🔹Measure and plan materials: Estimate total cable lengths and identify where PVC conduit, junction boxes, or surface-mount hardware will be required.
🔹Validate cable pathways: Confirm both indoor and outdoor routing options with the client before finalizing installation.
🔹Recommend equipment: Suggest the most suitable camera brand and model to match surveillance coverage requirements.
🔹Plan central equipment setup: Finalize installation location for the network equipment (e.g., UniFi PoE switch, NVR, UPS), ensuring power and network availability.
🔹Develop visual documentation: Prepare a floor plan sketch showing proposed camera positions, cable runs, and equipment zones, if needed.
🔹Record site details: Capture clear, labeled photos of all proposed mounting points and routing paths for reference and approval.
Following the site visit, we prepared a detailed installation plan for the customer’s review and approval. Once approved and all necessary materials were secured, we coordinated the installation schedule with our professional security camera installers in Mauldin, SC.

1. Cat6 plenum-rated cable drops
Our team kick-off the installation process by running Cat6 plenum-rated cable drops to serve as the backbone for the deployment of sixteen high-resolution IP cameras. They strategically planned and routed each cable run through the building’s existing infrastructure, pulling the cables through ceiling spaces and conduits. We terminated them into patch panels mounted in the rack and ensured proper labelling and identification for all eighteen IP camera connections.

They neatly bundled all cabling and secured it with Velcro ties, maintaining proper bend radius and minimizing the risk of signal interference. And dressed into the racks to deliver a professional, organized installation that meets both performance and aesthetic standards.
2. Security Camera Mounting
After completing the cabling, our professional installers mounted and secured eighteen wired IP cameras at strategic locations throughout the property. They fine-tuned camera positioning and angles in collaboration with the client to ensure full coverage of entryways, hallways, office areas, warehouse sites, and outdoor zones.
