To process the service request, the team carried out the Starlink business installation process as follows:
1. Pre-Installation Assessment and Planning
An initial offsite assessment was carried out to gather basic structural property information of the building using satellite imagery and onsite photos. This process allows us to determine the potential obstructions, installation points, cable path and necessary materials, tools and equipment needed for the installation.
The Starlink SMEs submitted the proposal for review and approval of the customer. After customer approval and arrival of Starlink equipment onsite, we coordinated the installation schedule with our Starlink installers in Groveland, FL.
2. Onsite Starlink Installation
Our professional Starlink installers started the onsite installation by conducting Starlink obstructions test on the installation point preferred by the customer. The rating was “Good Experience” rating for all internet activities.
They installed a 10-foot galvanized pole to securely mount the Starlink Standard dish.
The Starlink cable runs down the pole with UV-resistant zip ties. Buried underground in conduit (PVC or flexible conduit) for protection from weather. The cable continues underground and enters the property through a wall penetration. A weatherproof grommet was used to seal the hole from water ingress.
The Starlink cable was then connected to the Gen3 WiFi mesh router. The router was activated and configured its SSID and password.
3. Starlink Optimization and Performance Testing
To optimize the Starlink satellite signal, a Starlink alignment test was done to ensure clear line of sight between the dish and the satellite network.
To verify the performance of the Starlink internet, a Starlink speed tests were done. With 210 Mbps download speed, 50 Mbps upload speed and 33 ms latency, the warehouse office was now operating with high-speed broadband satellite internet that will support warehouse office operation.
It is important to note that Starlink may take up to 12 hours to achieve optimized connection. Temporary speed fluctuations or brief dropouts can occur, but once stabilized, it ensures a reliable high-speed connection.
